AustinLoupe

The current Texas novelty ID design has some very intricate microprint patterns in the background. If you look closely at the waves and the state seal, you can see tiny words like 'TEXAS' and '1845' repeated thousands of times. Most novelty id cards fail this because their printers aren't high-res enough.
I suggest getting a 10x jeweler's loupe and checking the microprint as soon as your card arrives. If the text is sharp and readable, you're in good shape. If it's blurry or looks like solid lines, be careful. Texas bouncers are getting more familiar with these high-end fakes, so you need every advantage you can get. Has anyone had success in Austin lately?
