Texas ID tips - The transparent window clarity

One of the hardest features to replicate on the new Texas novelty id cards is the transparent window. On a real ID, the window is perfectly clear with a secondary photo engraved into the plastic. I've seen some fakes where the window is cloudy or has a yellow tint, which is an instant fail.

Make sure your vendor is using laser ablation to clear the polycarbonate layers. This creates a window that is seamless and perfectly clear. I took mine to a liquor store and the clerk actually held it up to the light to see through it. Because it was so clear, she didn't even bother scanning it. Clarity is king for Texas IDs!
