Let's talk about the Ohio novelty ID 2D barcode. I've noticed that some of the newer scanners are checking for the barcode density—essentially how much data is packed into the small squares. If the resolution of your barcode is low, the scanner won't be able to read it correctly, or it will flag it as a low-quality print.
Make sure your vendor is using high-resolution offset printing for the back of the card. I took mine to a liquor store in Columbus and it scanned without any delay. Also, check that the info on the back matches your height and eye color on the front. It's a simple check but one that bouncers often do if the scanner takes more than a second.
