Does anyone have tips for Illinois bouncers in 2026?

I'm heading to Chicago next week and I'm a bit nervous about the security. I have an Illinois novelty ID that looks great, but I've heard that bouncers in the Windy City are super aggressive with fingernail scratches to check for raised text. Does anyone have specific tips for dealing with Chicago doormen?

I've been practicing my address and I know my zip code by heart. I also have a student ID with the same name. Is there anything else I should be prepared for? I've heard they sometimes check the back of the card for a very specific alignment of the ghost image. Any info from locals would be much appreciated!
