Is the Texas polycarbonate batch good right now?

Has anyone else noticed that bouncers in North Carolina are getting way more aggressive lately?

The first thing I noticed was the weight of the card. It doesn't feel like those cheap library cards you see some vendors pushing. When you drop it on a table, it has that specific metallic ring that North Carolina bouncers are always listening for.
