Anyone tried Pastel IDs for Massachusetts recently?

The stealth packaging on my latest Pastel IDs order was actually pretty genius.

Technical Details

• Scannability: Worked on BCS and every other app I tried.
• UV Reactivity: The hidden bear/outline was bright under a blacklight.
• Perforations: Laser holes are clean and visible when held to the light.

Comparing this to Pastel IDs, I think Massachusetts is actually the better choice for most people. The design is complex enough to be convincing but common enough that it doesn't stand out too much. The polycarbonate layers are fused perfectly with no signs of peeling at the edges.

The first thing I noticed was the weight of the card. It doesn't feel like those cheap library cards you see some vendors pushing. When you drop it on a table, it has that specific metallic ring that Massachusetts bouncers are always listening for. The holograms are surprisingly crisp too, shifting perfectly from green to gold when you tilt it back and forth.

I took it to a concert venue last night to see if it would actually hold up. The guy at the door didn't even use a scanner, he just ran his thumb over the tactile DOB and checked the UV with a torch. It passed without him saying a single word. I was pretty shaky but the card did the work for me.
