anyone know if Florida IDs scan at uni bar?

So I finally pulled the trigger on a Florida ID from Old Ironsides and it arrived today.

I took it to a club downtown last night to see if it would actually hold up. The guy at the door didn't even use a scanner, he just ran his thumb over the tactile DOB and checked the UV with a torch. It passed without him saying a single word. I was pretty shaky but the card did the work for me.

Make sure you know your data before you head out. A bouncer asked me for my secondary zip code and I almost blanked. The card can be 1:1, but if your behavior is off, you're going to lose it. Practice in front of a mirror if you have to.

The first thing I noticed was the weight of the card. It doesn't feel like those cheap library cards you see some vendors pushing. The holograms are surprisingly crisp too, shifting perfectly from green to gold when you tilt it back and forth.

Comparing this to Old Ironsides, I think Florida is actually the better choice for most people. The design is complex enough to be convincing but common enough that it doesn't stand out too much. The polycarbonate layers are fused perfectly with no signs of peeling at the edges.
