Washington vs Texas — which scans better in 2026?

My Viking IDs order for Washington just cleared the two-week mark and I'm starting to get nervous.

I'm curious if anyone else has had issues with the 2D barcode on these? Mine worked at the gas station but a buddy of mine said his failed at a major chain. Consistency seems to be the main issue with the budget shops lately. Spend the extra money on a premium vendor if you can.

I took it to a university bar last night to see if it would actually hold up. The guy at the door didn't even use a scanner, he just ran his thumb over the tactile DOB and checked the UV with a torch. It passed without him saying a single word. I was pretty shaky but the card did the work for me.
