How Arizona IDs hold up after a year of use

Does anyone have a direct comparison for the holograms on the new California design?

I'm curious if anyone else has had issues with the 2D barcode on these? Mine worked at the gas station but a buddy of mine said his failed at a major chain. Consistency seems to be the main issue with the budget shops lately. Spend the extra money on a premium vendor if you can.
