Is the $100 Alaska polycarbonate build worth it?

I'm eyeing the Alaska run that lists 30 mil polycarbonate with PVC composite, the 1200 DPI print, and state-specific multi-spectrum OVI holograms. At $100 it sits above the $80 California Teslin option in the catalog.

Has anyone received the 2024 Alaska update yet? Curious whether the ghost image and dual barcodes swipe cleanly and if the UV seal matches what's in the product gallery.

Durability is the big win - polycarbonate core doesn't split when you flex it. If you don't need the OVI depth, the California $80 card is still fine, but for heavy use I'd stay with Alaska.

Mine landed this morning. The 2D barcode parsed instantly on my PDF417 scanner and the ghost portrait is sharper than the older Teslin runs. Under UV you get the state seal and hidden text exactly like the features table promises.
